Unfolding Identity is a powerful docuseries and cultural initiative that captures the lived experiences of diverse communities across the South Asian diaspora. Through film, dialogue, community screenings, and a growing digital archive, we are preserving cultural heritage and sparking meaningful conversations across generations.
The project explores themes of identity, migration, belonging, and cultural memory—documenting personal narratives that are often overlooked, yet vital to understanding who we are, where we come from, and how we move forward.
Why it matters?
In diaspora communities, cultural identity is often lost, questioned, or oversimplified. Unfolding Identity emerges as a response to this growing sense of disconnect—an invitation to go deeper. It tells the stories that often go untold, revealing where we come from, what we carry with us, and how we continue to evolve.
We are building a culture where stories fuel connection and collective growth. We believe the stories we tell have the power to shape the culture and spark new ways of thinking. It's an act of preservation, resistance, and healing. When we tell our stories, we shape the narrative, bridge generations, and strengthen our cultural roots.
